“We knew that a large percentage of
people who can and would love to
play tennis aren’t playing at all or
very little compared to what they
were. I think the reason is that
playing or practicing tennis is good
but just doesn’t measure up compared
to other things they can spend their
time, energy and dollars on for most
people in 21st century and beyond.
Many players, coaches, centre and
business operators were and still
are moving away from Tennis mainly
because of falling participation
rates, too little return for effort,
stagnant incomes and the absence of
status and a secure future.”
“As well we could see that for some
people, tennis was too individual,
elite and based around trying to
beat each other. Tournaments and
competitions are too tough for many
people who are not so individually
competitive.”
“We hope Tennis Blast is part of the
answer.”
